The Space Coast Surfrider chapter will be getting more involved with the Marine Resources Council (MRC) in 2024. Their mission is to improve water quality and to protect and restore the fish and wildlife resources of the Indian River Lagoon, coastal waters, inshore reefs, and the watershed by advocating and using sound science, education and the involvement of the public at large.
We are excited to assist them with the Ocean Friendly Gardens (OFG) program!
We have already started by placing containers with native plants at the main entrance of the building. See our amazing Chair, Kris Baker, and the MRC Development Director at MRC, with the new Florida native planters in the pictures below!
