Ocean Treasures Festival at Barrier Island

Saturday, February 4th

9:15 a.m. (set-up) to 4:00 p.m.

The Barrier Island Center is having their Ocean Treasures Festival on Saturday, February 4th from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The center is centrally located in the heart of the Archie Carr Refuge at 8385 S. Highway A1A, Melbourne Beach.

Join our chapter to spread our mission message of clean water and healthy beaches and coastlines. Help us protect and preserve the many ocean treasures we have in Florida.  If you are passionate about our ocean and beaches, help us at our tent during this festival.  Meet others with the same passion.  We appreciate your help, so simply click on Sign Up!

Barrier Islands are so important for protecting our coastlines and ecosystems from severe weather, like hurricanes. Beach dunes and grasses on barrier islands absorb wave energy which means small storm surge and flooding.

The Barrier Island Center is managed under Brevard County’s Environmentally Endangered Lands Program referendum.  The referendum was established by voters in 1990 to protect and preserve the rich biological diversity of Brevard County for future generations.
