Surfrider Space Coast Nov 2 2024 Event (Facebook Cover)-1

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, Surfrider will be hosting the first official Sun, Sand, and Surf event from 8 am - 12 pm at Lori Wilson Park North in Cocoa Beach, FL.
 
A FREE, fun, family-friendly event supporting the environment, local businesses, & connecting the community

Support healthy beaches, local businesses, and have some fun!

Event Agenda:

  • 8 am: Beach cleanup hosted by Surfrider. This will continue on through 11 am. Fill up a bucket of trash, and trade in for a raffle ticket!

  • 9 - 9:45 am: Yoga class led by Equilibrium Movement with DJ C-Lioness

  • 10 - 11 am: log-jam surf competition sponsored & facilitated by Canaveral Surf, open to all levels & ages. Sign up for the surf competition here!

  • 11:30 am: Raffle & top 3 surf winners announced

Beach Cleanup

Beach cleanup sponsored by Surfrider Space Coast.

Buckets & grabbers are provided.

Fill up a bucket with trash, and return it in exchange for a raffle ticket!

Beach cleanup is ongoing throughout the event, 8-11 am.

Yoga with Equilibrium Movement

Owner of Equilibrium Movement, Gabby Lee, will be teaching a 45-minute yoga class for beginners.

Please bring an oversized towel & water to hydrate if you are participating!

Music by DJ C-Lioness from 9-11 am.

Log Jam Surf Competition

Join the log jam surf competition, sponsored by Canaveral Surf!

Open to ALL ages & levels!

The most unique, fun poses will win top prizes!

In order to participate, you MUST register at the link below before the day of the event.

Bring your board & check in with Canaveral Surf by 10:45 am on the day of the event. Heats are 30 minutes long! Top 3 win a prize.

What to Expect

  • This family-friendly event is 100% FREE! Don't forget to bring a friend!
  • Local businesses will have tents set up for you to visit, grab snacks, freebies, and merchandise.
  • Surfrider will be providing water, so please bring a reusable water bottle for the event! This event will be single-use plastic free!
  • Surfrider will be providing fresh fruit and fun merchandise & stickers to buy.
  • LMT is providing free electrolytes for the event - come pick up at the Surfrider tent!
  • Music by DJ C-Lioness from 9-11 am.
  • Sunscreen provided by SunBum & Avasol - leave your sunscreen at home, and lather up when you arrive! You will find jugs of sunscreen throughout the event.
  • Fun raffle prizes - participate in the beach cleanup anytime from 8-11, or the surf competition in order to be elegible (see supporting businesses providing raffle prizes below!). You MUST be present to claim your raffle prize! Winners picked at 11:30 am.
  • *PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN ALCOHOL-FREE EVENT

What to Bring

  • Towel
  • Beach chairs, umbrella, sunglasses
  • Re-usable water bottle
  • Surfboard - competing or not, enjoy some fun waves!
  • Snacks - some will be provided at the event, but please pack your own food & drink if you would like more!
