6:30 Call to order – Kris Baker, Chair Welcome!
- Special guest speaker tonight: Mike McGarry, Program Manager, Beaches, Boating & Waterways, Natural Resources Management Department, Brevard County
- The county manages 3 miles of beaches. There are 4 beach enrichment projects: Sand bypass, dredged sand, North Reach, dredged sand, Patrick SRF, dredged sand, Mid Reach, truck haul, South Reach, truck haul, and South Beach @ Archie Carr, dredged sand. There are 4.4 acres of ref man made 1000 ft off beach. Thriving with wildlife and ocean habitat.

- Welcome new Volunteer Coordinator, Deb Richardson!
- Membership: if you are donating to Surfrider, please make sure to go through our website, not National. We won’t see any donation if you go National website. We get 80% if you go through our website donation.
- Bill, Brandon & I have been working hard on 3 grants for Ballard Park buffer garden & Indialantic bioswale projects. 2 grants submitted and 1 to go!
- 2 members Mary & Brenda interested in being the liaison with the school for future projects & possibly student club. They have reached out to Verdi Eco School & Pineapple Charter School in Palm Bay.
- Adopt A1A Hwy relocation: Our new section is between Spessard Holland South Beach Park & Coconut Point Park Beach. We have signed a 2-year contract with FDOT. They will be putting our sign at this new location.
- MRC had their birthday celebration last night. Nina, Bill, Joanie, Bob &I attended, and our chapter was recognized. I had done artwork they requested me to do.
- April 13th, we will be a beneficiary from the Space Coast Classic Run. We are promoting if you want to run in the event. In March, we will be promoting to help volunteer during the race. We will be manning a water station, to be together as a force. Please plan
on showing your support.

- March 16 Thousand Islands Festival, table event, good event for first time. Educating people about OFR and no plastics.

- April 13 Space Coast Classic Race: Need volunteers to work water station and hand out packets prior to race at Running Zone.
- April 17 General Meeting @ Intracoastal. Nina will be presenting her trip to Tallahassee!
- April 26 Earth Day Planting our First Bioswale Indialantic! 9:30-12:30 Park on 8th Ave near Lily Park.
