💕💦Coleen to the rescue! HUGE Thank you to Coleen Seitter,

for taking me out on a boat to gather samples this

week for our special EGR Project! 💦💕

(she also volunteers & gets water samples for BWTF program)

Eau Gallie River sites, Ballard, Ramp Rd, Turkey Creek are in the RED!

BWTF has a 2 month/weekly water sampling project on the Eau Gallie River @ Ballard Park.

We have committed to test weekly 10 additional sites to collect data and pin point locations of contaminations.

Keep an eye out for BWTF emails for the data or look on

https://bwtf.surfrider.org/explore/63

Data is showing very contaminated water! 3 more weeks of testing!

Thanks so much to isensys.com who is testing along side of us with their own data. Thanks so much for the collaboration! They care about our water health!

SURFRIDER FOUNDATION'S BLUE WATER TASK FORCE

The Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) is Surfrider’s volunteer water quality monitoring program that provides critical water quality information to protect public health at the beach. We measure fecal indicator bacteria levels and compare them to public health standards for recreational waters. Surfrider chapters use this program to raise awareness of local pollution problems and to bring together communities to implement solutions.

The Space Coast BWTF supplements beach water testing performed by the Florida Healthy Beaches Program to provide year-round water quality information. View all swim advisories issued by the state and stay informed about the current water quality conditions at your favorite beaches. With the Space Coast BWTF and the Florida Healthy Beaches Program working together, you can trust that you are getting comprehensive and accurate information to make the best decisions for your health and enjoyment. Don't let pollution ruin your beach experience - take control and join us in protecting our precious coastal resources.
